Keystone Pottery For Kids is a uniquely designed pottery experience that will serve as an additional fantastic Camp Keystone offering in a day filled with instruction that parallels that of a real art studio. Every participant will experience the most stellar art direction from our talented and highly renowned instructor who will gear her instruction toward pottery for kids. Campers will learn various hand building techniques such as slab construction, coiling, pinching as well as sculpture methods, to create one-of-a-kind pieces.
An experience unlike any other, all pottery participants will spend an amazing part of their camp day taking part in our famous Camp Keystone activities including daily time at the 274’ Waterslide and Pool, as well as three other activities to round out a perfect Camp Keystone day! Our amazingly talented and accomplished Keystone Pottery For Kids instructor, Hannie Goldgewicht is a mother to a seven year old boy and this drives Hannie's dedication to education and teaching children the intricacies of her craft. Hannie uses her experience as an artist and mother to identify what each child needs and to guide them through the delicate learning process. Our pottery studio features the best of the best in pottery making equipment! Our beautifully appointed air-conditioned pottery studio is dedicated just for our pottery for kids programs.
Our students work with quality tools and state-of-art equipment including slab roller, kiln and pottery wheels. And of course, we only use lead free, dinnerware safe glazes.
Pottery For Kids Camp includes a 2-hour pottery experience combined with four Camp Keystone program activities including all special camp events and offerings as scheduling allows. Pottery For Kids camp brings together the best of everything we have to offer, Camp Keystone and an exceptional pottery experience.
