Top 10 Waterslide Questions
1. Can anybody go down the waterslide?
As long as they are water safe and can pass our swimming test, they may
use the waterslide
2. How fast does the waterslide go?
Our smaller campers go down the slide in a leisurely 20 seconds, while
our bigger campers and counselors can speed down the slide in just 9 seconds.
3. If I forget my bathing suit, can I go down the slide in my jean shorts?
No. All riders must be wearing a bathing suit that is rivet free and without
zippers or anything that could scratch the slide.
4. It's so sunny outside, can I keep my sunglasses/goggles on while riding
the slide?
Anything that can potentially damage/scratch the slide may not
be worn. This includes glasses, goggles, jewelry, and watches.
5. Can we form a "train" with 2 or 3 people
at a time?
Although
that may be a lot of fun, it is also dangerous once you enter the water.
Safety is our biggest concern, and the potential for injury is just too
great to allow this.
6. Can I go down the slide headfirst?
This is once again a safety issue. Riders must enter the slide in a sitting
position. They can then lie on their backs, feet first, for a fun ride.
7. How long do I have to wait after the person in front of me starts their
ride?
We will always have a lifeguard and/or slide attendant who will instruct
you when it is safe to begin your ride.
8. What is "Waterslide Camp?"
Waterslide Camp is offered the last week of our summer schedule. Campers
will participate in our traditional camp activities in the morning, then
after lunch they will head up to the waterslide and pool for a full afternoon
of sliding and swimming.
9. I might be a little scared. Can my counselor/parent take me down on
their lap?
Unfortunately we cannot allow this. Again, as you enter the water it becomes
a safety issue and could result in serious injury.
10. Can I rent out the waterslide so all my friends can experience the
fun?
Camp Keystone also has a catering and special events company. Through Team Play Events, you can book a birthday party, company picnic, family reunion,
or a get together to show off the waterslide to all of your friends. For more
